The Jacobs lab for Cyber Archaeology Manager

The Leon Recanati Institute for Maritime Studies and the School of Archaeology and Maritime Civilizations at the University of Haifa are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Yoav Bornstein as the manager of the recently founded Irwin M. Jacobs Laboratory for Cyber Archaeology.
Yoav holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (2006) and an M.A. from the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management at the University of Haifa (2021). He previously served as the manager of the Archaeometallurgy Laboratory and currently manages the Yaacov Kahanov Laboratory for Ancient Ship Research.
With a strong technological background and extensive experience in software development, automation, coding (Python and VBA), GIS, and project management, Yoav brings valuable expertise that will enhance the laboratory for Cyber Archaeology capabilities and infrastructure which already supports the teaching and research of the archaeological community at the University of Haifa.
