Dr. Inbal Samet received her PhD in archaeology from the Department of Maritime Civilizations at the University of Haifa, with a dissertation titled “Pottery Consumption and International Trade in Middle Bronze Age Kabri and Other Canaanite Palatial Polities.” Earlier, she earned a BA in architecture from the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology and a BA (cum laude) and MA (summa cum laude) in archaeology from Tel Aviv University. Inbal’s research centers on the Middle Bronze Age, with a focus on the study of ceramics and their relation to palatial and site economy. She has participated in or directed excavations at numerous sites in Israel, including Megiddo, Kabri, Achziv, Tel Esur, Tel ʿEin Jezreel, ʿAtarot, Jerusalem, and Tel Aphek.
