Prof. Nimrod Marom is an archaeozoologist studying the interactions between animals, humans, and the environment in the Holocene and Late Pleistocene. An important part of his work is on materials from archaeological sites on the Mediterranean coast of Israel. Nimrod is the head of the
Laboratory for Mediterranean Archaeozoology (MAR) and he also directs the
DEADSEA_ECO Project, which studies anthropogenic effects on Holocene desert foodwebs.
