Appointment date: 1/6/2019 – 31/5/2022

Yael is currently a postdoctoral scholar in the department of maritime civilizations at the University of Haifa and a research associate at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Her research focus is the archaeology of the Jordan Valley in proto-historic periods, and particularly in the Early Bronze Age. Yael is also the co-director of Tel Yaqush Excavation Project, an Early Bronze Age site in the Central Jordan Valley, conducted on behalf of the University of Pennsylvania Museum and The German Archaeological Institute, Berlin. Yael is also a researcher in the ERC project: DEADSEA-ECO headed by Dr. Nimrod Marom
