Prof. Nimrod Marom

Prof. Nimrod Marom is an archaeozoologist studying the interactions between animals, humans, and the environment in the Holocene and Late Pleistocene. An important part of his work is on materials from archaeological sites on the Mediterranean coast of Israel.

Nimrod directed many research projects, including the Zooarchaeology of Southern Phoenicia, and the DEADSEA_ECO Project, which studied anthropogenic effects on Holocene desert foodwebs. He is also the head of the Laboratory for Mediterranean Archaeozoology (MAR).
